The LDx6 is a double Bb/F- alto descant horn distinguishing itself as a
leader among descants with response on command, and a precise
intonation. The special valve configuration allows for an extra long
lead pipe taper for the Bb horn allowing for a full sound in all registers.
The high F have a balanced and consistent sound homogeneous with
the Bb side.
In addition, the separate taper aids with intonation issues of the high
F horn. The stopping valve lowers the pitch of the instrument by fl of
a tone; this also allows the player to perform in A horn on the Bb side.
Or, you may choose to add a crook in low F to the stopping valve. This
allows access to the lower natural F harmonics to work without the
need to reach for your standard double horn, or for that matter, a tri-
ple horn.
Unser Bb/hoch-F-Horn ist ein voll ausgebautes Diskant Doppelhorn und
zeichnet sich durch seine hervorragende Ansprache und Intonation aus.
Durch eine spezielle Ventilanordnung ermöglicht die Bauweise ein extra
langes Mundrohr des B-Horns. Dies führt zu einem vollen Klang im gesam-
ten Register. Der hoch-F-Teil verfügt über einen ausgeglichenen Klang und
verhält sich zum B-Horn sehr homogen.
Ein großer Vorteil ist das Stimmen der hoch-F Seite durch einen separaten
Stimmzug. Das Stopfventil vertieft das Instrument um einen

-Ton und
ermöglicht dadurch eine bessere Intonation beim Stopfen auf der B-Seite.
Ebenso ist die Ventillänge des Stopfventils auf A zu kürzen.
Zusätzlich ist es möglich einen F-Verlängerungsbogen einzusetzen, der das
spielen der Naturtöne des tiefen F-Horns ermöglicht.
